Corcoran Adult School

Corcoran Adult School offers an array of classes to help students earn their high school diploma or learn English as a second language. Our classes are open to adults 18 years and older who are residents of Corcoran and surrounding areas.

High School Diploma Program

The diploma program is available to anyone 18 years old or older who has not completed his or her high school graduation requirements. All courses are available to ensure students meet the necessary requirements for graduation. We offer several pathways, including direct teacher instruction or independent study, for students meeting specific requirements.

Independent Study

Independent study is an alternative-delivery system for instruction available to adult students pursuing their high school diploma. Students must attend one hour of class per week and complete a minimum of 15 hours of assigned coursework per week on their own time. To qualify, students must work full time.

English as a Second Language (ESL)

Adults who wish to learn how to speak, read, and write the English language will benefit from this program. Visit our ESL page for more information.

Graduation Requirements

We will evaluate each student’s progress on an individual basis upon enrollment at Corcoran Adult School. Students must have a total of 180 credits to graduate and pass the English Language Arts and Mathematics portions of the California High School Exit Examination.
