Corcoran Adult School
Corcoran Adult School offers an array of classes to help students earn their high school diploma or learn English as a second language. Our classes are open to adults 18 years and older who are residents of Corcoran and surrounding areas.
High School Diploma Program
The diploma program is available to anyone 18 years old or older who has not completed his or her high school graduation requirements. All courses are available to ensure students meet the necessary requirements for graduation. We offer several pathways, including direct teacher instruction or independent study, for students meeting specific requirements.
Citizenship
This course will prepare you to take each section of the U.S. Citizenship test, and it will cover topics such as civics, the U.S. government, history, geography, reading, and writing. It will also cover tips on studying for the test and preparing yourself most effectively for the test.
English as a Second Language (ESL)
Adults who wish to learn how to speak, read, and write the English language will benefit from this program. Visit our ESL page for more information.
GED
The GED program prepares students to take the GED examination. The GED program offers integrated instruction in the four areas covered on the GED test: reasoning through language arts, science, social studies, and mathematical reasoning.
Graduation Requirements
We will evaluate each student’s progress on an individual basis upon enrollment at Corcoran Adult School. Students must have a total of 175 credits to graduate. For more information, please see our graduation requirements.
