Curriculum
Our school curriculum is as varied as its programs. From adult education to alternative options for elementary school students, we tailor our instruction and curriculum offerings to meet the needs of our individual students. Here you’ll find just a sampling of what we have to offer.
Mission Community Day School
Mission Community Day School offers school-age students in sixth to twelfth grades a second chance in obtaining their education. We offer seat-based classes for students in need of a new academic home due to discipline, truancy, or court-ordered situations. We work with parents and students to assist them in remaining in school and continuing their education. Students must receive a referral to attend this program.
Acceleration and Enrichment
High school students with a drive to succeed are eligible for acceleration and enrichment. In this program, students attend both high school courses and college classes simultaneously through a partnership with West Hills College, College of the Sequoias, or another institute of higher learning. We base admission on a careful study of school records; aptitude; and student maturity, interest, and educational objectives. Students on an accelerated graduation program from Corcoran High School must complete the core requirements at CHS. College classes cannot interfere with a student’s high school schedule.
Alternative Education
Alternative education includes Kings Lake Continuation High School and Independent Study. Any student assigned to alternative education will remain there for at least one full semester. We will evaluate students at the end of the semester for proper placement in the future.
