Welcome to Kings Lake Education Center
Welcome to Kings Lake Education Center, where our alternative school program allows for the success of all our students. We are located in central Corcoran, California, and are just one of the seven quality schools in the Corcoran Unified School District. Our students enjoy a variety of academic options, including a curriculum that not only meets state standards but also appeals to students’ interests and abilities.
Please take some time to find out more about our school. Our dedicated faculty and staff members nurture a positive environment within every classroom, allowing our students to feel comfortable and at home in our alternative setting. Our academic programs help our students meet their educational goals by focusing on the individual, rather than applying the same goals and expectations to all. We even have a dedicated adult education program to assist adults in completing their high school diploma. Find out what our curriculum is all about and how we can serve your family.
A Message from Our Assistant Principal
Hello parents and students of King’s Lake Education Center,
These have been some truly unprecedented and trying times we have all been experiencing in 2020. We here at King’s Lake sympathize with everyone that might be going through rough times and hope to be a source of growth and focus for you while we all quarantine together. Classes, as you know, will continue in the distance learning type format. We are going to do our very best to support you and provide, our students and parents, answers to any questions you might have and assistance in completing your education and learning. Although we cannot be together physically, we will be onsite daily and available for zoom, email, and phone calls as needed throughout the day. Being able to support you with the appropriate help needed to continue to grow and learn, while keeping you safe, is of the utmost importance to us. So much change has happened since 2020 started. With 2019-2020 being my first year in administration, it required me to grow in my thinking as an educator. New relationships were made and formed, as well as having to usher in distant learning. Change in my personal life further came in having to quarantine and distance myself from my parents, which was also a difficult change to have to make. We have all had to make difficult changes and sacrifices during these times and having a good friend, family, and focus can make things easier. Use this time to focus on accomplishing your schoolwork, as we will use it to focus on getting better at providing support and education for you. We can all come out better at the other end of this thing if we want to. It is always darkest before the dawn, but the sun is going to come up eventually! We will be better when we are together again, and you can be further along your path as well with your effort, our help, and support. Again, we are here for you and with you, if you have any questions or needs please don’t hesitate to contact us.
