Where Learning Never Ends

Welcome to Kings Lake Education Center

Welcome to Kings Lake Education Center, where our alternative school program allows for the success of all our students. We are located in central Corcoran, California, and are just one of the seven quality schools in the Corcoran Unified School District. Our students enjoy a variety of academic options, including a curriculum that not only meets state standards but also appeals to students’ interests and abilities.

Please take some time to find out more about our school. Our dedicated faculty and staff members nurture a positive environment within every classroom, allowing our students to feel comfortable and at home in our alternative setting. Our academic programs help our students meet their educational goals by focusing on the individual, rather than applying the same goals and expectations to all. We even have a dedicated adult education program to assist adults in completing their high school diploma. Find out what our curriculum is all about and how we can serve your family.

A Message from Our Assistant Principal

Hello parents and students of King’s Lake Education Center,

The past 2020–2021 school year has finally left us, but the 2021–2022 school year is shaping up to be challenging as well. Many of you were able to flourish under the new conditions created by the pandemic. On the other hand, many of you had difficulties manipulating the new normal that the pandemic created. We here at Kings Lake sympathize with everyone that might be going through rough times and hope to be a source of growth and focus for you while we all deal with these challenges and changes together.

Classes are starting back in person this year, with several pandemic safety measures remaining in place. We commit to doing our very best to support our students and provide parents and stakeholders with the answers to any questions that arise. We understand that many parents might have reservations and concerns about having their students returning to in-person learning. As stated earlier, COVID-19 precautions are still in place and, student safety remains paramount at Kings Lake and CUSD.

Alternative educational options are available and under consideration for the 2021–2022 school year. We must approve and determine these options on a case-to-case basis. Through appointment with the school and the district office, we can establish eligibility and apply for these alternative educational options. Being able to support our students with the appropriate help needed to continue to grow and learn, while keeping them safe, is of the utmost importance to us. A great deal of change has happened since 2020 started, causing us to make hard changes and difficult sacrifices. The changes are proof that we can grow and adapt in the face of challenges.

The new challenge is to continue to grow, continue to adapt to the changes coming, and to those yet to present themselves. We here at Kings Lake Educational Center strive to be of assistance in helping our students make the changes needed that can help them for years to come. It is always darkest before the dawn, but the sun is going to come up eventually! Moreover, nothing of great value was ever accomplished easily. If you can take those two quotes to heart, you'll realize that adversity leads to victory and hard work is the key to realizing your dreams. 2021–2022 is upon us, what will you have to reflect on in your life at this time next year? You hold the key to that answer, and we will be here to help you complete that story.

Again, we are here for you and with you. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
